Brong Ahafo Region
The Brong Ahafo Region which is made up of nineteen districts is the second largest in Ghana with a population of about two million of which 62% is rural. The rural population has little access to potable water and sanitation facilities.
The National Community Water and Sanitation Programme (NCWSP) which was launched in the country as part of government of Ghana’s restructuring of the water sector aims at increasing access to potable water in rural communities and small towns.The NCWSP which is being facilitated by the CWSA is making great strides in the water sector in the Brong Ahafo region.
